In the world of high-tech infrastructure, it’s easy to get swept up in the awe of global networks and low-latency benchmarks. But throughout my career, from scaling digital products at Amazon and Capital One to my current work in enterprise sales, I’ve seen that the most powerful "last mile" is the moment a business, no matter how remote, can finally plug into the global economy through seamless, localized systems. The physical link is only part of the equation.

Scaling products to international markets is an exercise in empathy and adaptation. During my time at Amazon, I led a 13-market expansion strategy that identified over $116MM in potential revenue. The most rewarding part of that work was seeing how localized solutions directly empowered users.
For example, in Spain, we saw a 25% lift in conversion by simply prioritizing local payment options at checkout. In Brazil, we utilized WhatsApp to reach 2.5MM members, resulting in a 15% lift in activation. These were technical wins that also made a global service feel like a local partner.
Engineering a frictionless future
